Bruce McLaggan
podiatrist
South African born, Bruce McLaggan moved to the UK in 1991 where he studied podiatry at one of the leading private institutes. As well as being qualified in all aspects of routine foot and nail healthcare, he specialises in biomechanics and the treatment and prevention of sports injuries.
After completing his initial qualifications, the Institute immediately appointed him as a tutor to deliver practical skills tuition to new students. He remained at the Institute for over 12 years during which time he became their senior clinic tutor, responsible for practical training on the full range of podiatry topics. During this period he was appointed as an examination officer on the Institute’s diploma course. Bruce was also involved in the continuing development program of the Institute’s workshops and conducted many of these along with other bespoke revision sessions. He was a regular contributing author for an UK professional journal and has self published a text book for podiatrists.
Bruce came to live in Nova Scotia in 2009 with his wife and acquired a small podiatry clinic in Digby. He has successfully expanded DFSfootcare developing five clinics along the shores (Annapolis Royal, Bridgetown, Clare, Digby and Weymouth).
He is a Member of the College of Chiropody of Ontario certified by examination thus achieving Canadian regulatory status.
With over 25 years of professional experience, Bruce has become a highly respected podiatry professional with considerable practical knowledge in his field.
